Mandarin Teacher for Charter Middle School and High School
Mare Island Technology Academy (MIT) at Vallejo in California is seeking
a Mandarin Instructor to further develop the newest addition to its
World Languages curriculum. The ideal candidate will embrace the
school's mission of high-tech, high expectations, project-based learning
and:

* Motivate Middle School and High School students for success in
mastering Mandarin
* Prepare Middle School and High School students for the required
college course sequence (Chinese 120-220 at DiabloValley College) that
students are required to attend after passing the High School level
Mandarin courses taught atMIT Academy
* Coordinate student support with the Mandarin Coach whose job it
is to support struggling students
* Incorporate Language Lab and online supplemental material into
the curriculum (MIT Academy is a 1:1 student to computer ratio
environment in every classroom)
* Plan Field Trips to further the students' appreciation of the
Chinese culture
* Support the school culture based on the principles of firm, fair,
and consistent practices, respect for individual students, and
development of responsible citizenship.

Minimum qualifications:

1) Bachelor's degree;
2) Experience working with middle and/or high school age students;
3) Passion for creating a world class Mandarin language program at
MIT Academy.

Dear Parents and Teachers,
Our apologies for the confusion we may have caused. The tuition fee for the Mandarin Summer Camp is US$1000 and the application period is Feb 25 th to April 10th. The information provided in our previous attachment was incorrect, US$900 is the discount price for group registration, which is only applicable to bookings for groups of 5 students or more. We have attached the brochure containing the correct information in this email. Also, please feel free refer to our website for more details. We apologize once again for the inconvenience we have caused and thank you for your understanding.

Greetings from Taiwan!
Thank you for your wonderful support and assistance with the National Taiwan Normal University Mandarin Training Center (NTNU MTC). Due to the positive feedback from parents and students of the 2007 Mandarin Summer Camp, and increasing global interest in learning Chinese, the MTC will be organizing the "2008 NTNU Mandarin Summer Camp" for ages 8 to 15, as well as the "2008 NTNU A Plus Chinese Program", focused on high school students. Our summer programs are designed to meet the needs of young international students. Please visit our website for more details about each program:

Summer Camp applicants are required to complete an application form online. The online application system will begin accepting applications at 9 am Taipei time on February 25th until 5 pm on April 10th or until all available seats are filled. The A Plus Chinese Program only accepts group registration with a minimum number of 15 students with one lead teacher /parent.
